Join us as we explore the abstract art by Washington D.C. artist Alma Thomas! Then, welcome spring with us as we try to recreate some of her art!
Alma Thomas's abstract works, featuring bright colors and interesting patterns, were inspired and connected to the natural world. The pieces we will look at and take inspiration from are Pansies in Washington (1969), Spring Grass (1973), and Red Azaleas Singing and Dancing to Rock and Roll Music (1976).
