Examine the life events of Frederick Douglass as his journey takes him from being an enslaved boy on the Eastern Shore of MD to one of the highest ranking African American men of the 19th century.
Douglass' story is fascinating from how he learns to read and write to become an editor of two newspapers during the 19th century and how his talents and skills enabled him to become a United States diplomat, serving a country that once considered him chattel property.
