Hear a fascinating deep dive into the untold stories behind the American Revolution with author Thomas Guay as he discusses his book, "Chesapeake Bound."

This talk explores the social, political, and economic forces that ignited the path to independence—from rigid class structures and British arrogance to the desperate choices of those who indentured themselves to escape hardship in London. Focusing on the critical years of 1763–1765, Thomas reveals how Parliament’s missteps and colonial resistance set the stage for revolution—culminating in the explosive Stamp Act protests right here in Annapolis.
