Meeting Room 1

Join us to discuss a different cozy mystery on the 3rd Thursday of each month at the Leonardtown Library. Be ready to talk about a genre that puts us all at ease while keeping us on our toes.

This month we'll dive into the world of Jane Austen with The Murder of Mr. Wickham (2022) by Claudia Gray. This first installment in the Mr. Darcy & Miss Tilney series brings back some classic characters, while introducing us to some interesting new ones.

The happily married Mr. Knightley and Emma are throwing a house party, bringing together distant relatives and new acquaintances. Not invited is Mr. Wickham, whose latest financial scheme has netted him an array of enemies. Tempers flare, secrets are revealed, and it's clear that everyone would be happier if Mr. Wickham got his comeuppance. Yet they're all shocked when he turns up murdered. With everyone in the house a suspect, it falls to Juliet Tilney, the resourceful daughter of Catherine and Henry of Northanger Abbey, and Jonathan Darcy, eldest son of Elizabeth and Fitzwilliam. The pair must put aside their own poor first impressions and uncover the guilty party before someone innocent is hanged.
