Did you know that scams and fraud are responsible for stealing billions of dollars from American consumers each year? Learn about strategies you can take to keep yourself, your identity and your money safe. We will review some of the most common current scams, discuss red flags that can help you recognize a scam and practice strategies for helping you and those you know avoid scams in the future. Presented by Catherine Sorenson with UMD Extension.
This event is a Maryland Libraries Together event and is supported by the Institute of Museum and Library Services through the Library Services & Technology Act administered by the MD State Library Agency. Registration is through Calvert Library.
