SAFE: Scams & How to Avoid Them

Join us online for the SAFE (Scam Awareness and Financial Education) series. These webinars are offered in partnership with the MD Dept. of Labor and public libraries statewide.
Did you know that scams and fraud are responsible for stealing billions of dollars from American consumers each year? Learn about strategies you can take to keep yourself, your identity, and your money safe.
We will review some of the most common current scams, discuss red flags that can help you recognize a scam, and practice strategies for helping you and those you know avoid scams in the future.
This event is a Maryland Libraries Together event and is supported by the Institute of Museum and Library Services through the Library Services & Technology Act administered by the MD State Library Agency. Registration is through Allegany County Library.
