St. Mary's County Library is thrilled to introduce Christina Baker Kline in a virtual author event!

Christina Baker Kline is a #1 New York Times bestselling author of eight novels, including The Exiles (2020), A Piece of the World (2017), and Orphan Train (2013).  She is published in 40 countries.  Kline's novels have been awarded the New England Prize for Fiction, the Maine Literary Award, and a Barnes & Noble Discover Award, among other honors.  Her books have also been chosen by hundreds of communities, universities and schools as "One Book, One Read" selections.  Born in England and raised in the American South and Maine, Kline lives in New York City and on Mount Desert Island in Maine, with her husband.

Please join us virtually to meet Christina Baker Kline and hear her speak about her latest novel, The Exiles, an instant NYT and Indie Next bestseller, which captures the hardship, oppression, opportunity and hope of a trio of women's lives - two English convicts and an orphaned Aboriginal girl - in 19th century Australia.

Register to receive the link to the Zoom meeting the day before the event.  Copies of Christina Baker Kline's novels can be found in our catalog.  Signed copies of The Exiles will be available for purchase at White Rabbit Bookstore in California, MD.

If you require an ASL interpreter or other accommodation for this event, please contact us at virtualservices@stmalib.org with as much notice as possible, but no later than five business days before the event date.
