Join Friends of St. Clements Bay to share ideas for a "Green Front Yard" at the library. Work with us to create a welcoming space for birds, butterflies and most importantly people!

The Leonardtown Library, Garvey Senior Activity Center, and Friends of St. Clements Bay have received a Clean Up and Green Up Maryland Grant to create a A Green Front Yard for their spectacular new home on Hayden Farm Lane.

In place of mowed grass, we envision an outdoor space where native trees and plants invite people to relax or enjoy outdoor classes, and also provide bird and pollinator habitat.  Signage will provide eco-friendly landscaping tips for homeowners' own front yards.

Community involvement in the design, installation and maintenance of the space will be key to making it a success.  How can you get involved?  Join the Zoom conversation to learn about volunteer opportunities, and upcoming workshops, or contact Liz Curtz at curtzeli@gmail.com, to receive email updates about project activities.

If you require an ASL interpreter or other accommodation for this event, please contact us at virtualservices@stmalib.org with as much notice as possible, but no later than five business days before the event date.
