How should we talk to our children about difficult topics such as racism? Parents have a lot of tools available to rise up to this task in our homes, libraries, and right outside our front doors.

Join our panel discussion led by librarians and community members knowledgeable about local history and attractions. Learn how to use books as conversation starters as well as how to engage in meaningful talks while visiting historical sites right here in our county.

Win a prize for attending!  We'll be mentioning a number of adult and children's books during the program and then have a drawing to give those books away at the end.  Winners will be notified via email and books will be available for pick up by scheduling a curb side pick up appointment at any St. Mary's County library branch.
