Community Friendship Quilt to Celebrate 75 Years

Common Thread

Join us for a special Common Thread gathering. As always, you're welcome to bring your current crocheting, embroidery, cross-stitch, or any other needlework project to share with fellow crafters.

Whether you're a seasoned stitcher or just starting, this event is open to all skill levels. Feel free to mingle, swap patterns, ideas, and tips with like-minded makers. Come share your love for fabric and fiber crafts with the community, and be a part of this special celebration! 
Basic supplies will be available if needed, and no registration is required.

While we encourage participation in the Community Friendship Quilt, it's not mandatory. You're welcome to attend Common Thread and work on your own projects as usual.

Community Quilt Project Details:

• Square Submission: By submitting a quilt square, participants acknowledge that the library reserves the right to keep all submitted squares and may not necessarily use every submitted square in the final quilt design
• Cut-off Date for Donations: Tuesday, March 10, 2026
• Square Specifications: Squares should be a standard 12inch block and can be designed using various materials and techniques, such as old library bags and t-shirts.
• Content Guidelines: Participants should refrain from using any vulgar or profane content in their designs.
• Quilt Completion: After the cut-off date, library staff and volunteers will organize the donated squares into a cohesive design. The quilt will be assembled by community members during regular meetings at the library and potentially other library branches. Upon completion, the Community Quilt will be displayed at the libraries.
