Harvesting your own seeds saves you money and gives you more variety in your garden. Master Gardener and Master Naturalist Molly Moore will teach you the difference between shakers, beaks, coneheads, and more, and will guide you in cleaning and packaging seeds to take home. We welcome beginners as well as experienced seed collectors.
After the presentation, samples of native plants will be available for practice your new skills! Attendees are invited to the Lexington Manor Passive Park Native Gateway Garden to further their learning after the program.
Register to receive a reminder email; walk-ins welcome as space allows.
This program is made possible with support from University of Maryland Extension Master Gardener Program and the LMPP Community Garden. This workshop may qualify for continuing education hours for Master Gardeners, Master Naturalists and other University of Maryland Extension programs.
