Speaker - Henry Miller, Adjunct Professor of Anthropology at St. Mary's College of Maryland and Senior Research Fellow at Historic St. Mary’s City
Henry Miller is an esteemed historical archaeologist with a Ph.D. from Michigan State University, specializing in the colonial Chesapeake region. Miller's interests include local migration patterns and the cultural impacts of early European settlements in Maryland. He has significantly contributed to the field through his research on foodways, colonial architecture, and environmental studies. Miller served as President of the international Society for Historical Archaeology and received the prestigious J. C. Harrington Medal in 2020 for his outstanding scholarly contributions. His work also includes developing exhibits for renowned institutions like the Smithsonian Institution and Colonial Williamsburg.
