Join us to discuss a different cozy mystery on the 3rd Thursday of each month at the Leonardtown Library. Be ready to talk about a genre that puts us all at ease while keeping us on our toes.
This month we'll be answering the question of "what antique is worth killing for?" with The Antique Hunter's Guide to Murder by C. L. Miller, their debut novel and the first in the Antique Hunter's series.
Freya Lockwood is shocked to learn that Arthur Crockleford, antiques dealer and her estranged mentor, has died under rather strange circumstances. She has spent the last twenty years avoiding her quaint English hometown, but now has no choice to return when she receives a letter from Arthur himself, sent days before his mysterious death, asking her to investigate.
After joining up with her eccentric Aunt Carole, Freya follows the clues and finds herself at an old manor house for a so-called antiques enthusiast's weekend. But not all is as it seems. It's clear to Freya that these antiques are all poor reproductions and her fellow guests seem to be nothing but secretive and menacing. What is going on at this estate and how does it connect to Arthur? Can Freya and Carole discover the truth before the killer strikes again?
