It doesn't matter if you are starting, finishing, or somewhere in the middle. Celebrate our goal of reading 500 books by age 5! A special storytime, picture book themed activities, and literacy joy!

No matter whether you have completed the program or are just getting started, we want to celebrate early literacy with you! Reading with your child helps to get them ready for school, increase vocabulary and speech skills, improve logical thinking, and encourage a love of learning. 

500 books by age 5 is just: 

One book per day for two years 

OR 

Weekly library storytime from birth to age five

OR

Two bedtime books each night for one year

No matter how you accomplish it, progressing towards 500 books is a fantastic feat worth celebrating!

Registration required--please use the Add More People button when registering to register every child who will be participating at the event. Caregivers do not need to register themselves.
